  • Swim Team
Twisters is Twin Creeks’ Summer League Swim Team. The program runs from May to mid-July and gives kids the opportunity to compete in a fun, team-oriented environment against other swim clubs in the area. Practices are held Monday through Friday after school and move to the mornings once school ends. We'll compete in home and away meets on Saturdays and host special parties at the club for the swim team. To be eligible to compete in swim meets, kids must be able to swim one length of the pool without assistance.  For children who aren't quite able to swim one length of the pool, we have Dust Devils, our development league focused on helping kids gain endurance and skill to join the Twisters and participate in swim meets.

Each age group will have practice daily, which allows flexibility in attendance due to conflicts with other sports, extracurricular activities or school. to compete in swim meets, children must participate in at least two practices each week but we find that kids are having so much fun, they usually want to practice more!  Our goal is to have an appropriate number in each group to allow for effective coaching as well as swimmer safety.

2019 Twister's Head Swim Coach: Kristen Gregg

Kristen has been working for Lost Creek Aquatics, a USA Swimming Club, as an assistant coach in Cedar Park, TX since September of 2018. She has taught technique, endurance and dryland from ages 4 to 18. She's assisted in all swim levels of the club as well.

She worked at Texas Gold Swimming in Georgetown, TX, where she was the assistant coach for beginners to age group II and also assisted with the National group. She led two summer swim clinics to improve technique and endurance. She then moved on to become Head Coach of Greenwood Memorial Swim Club located in Gardner/ Fitchburg, MA. She has a keen eye to identify stroke errors and then use her strong knowledge of swimming methods and techniques to help swimmers improve and correct their strokes. She utilizes videos taken of the swimmers, along with online educational videos and dryland training to better teach proper swimming technique. She's taught in-water lessons for beginners to the highest level of swimmers. She has also worked at incorporating more outside team bonding events and mentoring opportunities between upper and lower level swimmers while steadily re-growing the team.

While at the Greenwood Memorial Swim Club, Kristen assisted head coaches in training swimmers at the higher levels in which they have gone on to swim at age group Championships, Zones, Sectionals, Arena Pro Series, Junior Nationals, Nationals, special USA teams, and Olympic Trials.  Many of these swimmers have gone on to achieve New England Records, USA Swimming Top 10 national reportable times, all-time USA Swimming Top 10 Age Group times, and Top 10 World Rankings. Through her and the head coach's combined efforts, they have also gone on to swim in college Division I through Division III schools.

Kristen is a firm coach, yet a fun one and enjoys being around children of all ages regardless of their mental or physical abilities. She wants to help each child reach their highest potential in their swimming careers. She writes her sets to include technique and endurance. In addition to her coaching experience, Kristen has lifeguarded at Mount Wachusett Community College, taught private and group lessons at Naukeag Lake Club, and taught private and semi-private lessons (several of which were survival swimming lessons).

  • Swimming Lessons

    • Swim lessons at Twin Creeks are designed to not only to make kids water safe but to love the water and learn the necessary skills to become a proficient and lifelong swimmer.  Lesson programs are designed for children 3 and up who exhibit some level of comfort in the water and are most effective when the swimmers can place their face in the water.  Please contact an instructor to determine if your child is ready for lessons!   We also offer lessons to older kids and adults who either want to learn to swim or become more proficient with the competitive strokes.  This is great for people looking to compete in swimming or triathlon or to build a lifelong skill for a healthy exercise regimen.   Our swim lesson instructors bring decades of swimming experience both in and out of the water and are USA swimming certified coaches.  We are happy to tailor a lesson program to your needs or the needs of your child.
